-Now Open Again – The Little Known Spring Roll Cart at Magic Kingdom

One of the great things about living close to Disney and being an annual passholder is getting to take my time in the parks and discover the things I might not notice if I were trying to cram all of the Disney I could into a vacation. Passing along what I discover is one of the great purposes of this blog so you can know about it before you get here. One of those little gems that seems to be well known among passholders but not so much by vacationers is the little spring roll cart in Magic Kingdom. It is located in Adventureland, just to the right of Jungle Cruise. The last time I ate there I arrived a little before it opened at 11 AM and was the first of several passholders in line.

In this picture you can see the sign for Jungle Cruise on the left. The Spring Roll Cart is on the far right with a red umbrella. There is also a popcorn cart at this location.

These are not typical spring rolls like you would find in an Asian Restaurant. Flavors I have seen available so far are cheeseburger, Philly cheese steak, Buffalo chicken, and Reuben. They usually have two varieties available each day.

The current price is 2 for $7.50. You can get two of the same flavor or two different flavors.
I got Philly Cheese Steak (top) and Cheeseburger (bottom). They are house made so they are not all exactly the same size. Though the Philly Cheese Steak is obviously shorter than the Cheeseburger in this picture, it was actually thicker, which did not show up very well in the picture.

The Cheeseburger Spring RollThe Philly Cheese Steak has been my favorite so far. It tastes like a mini Philly Cheese Steak and is probably the most substantial of the available varieties.

The Cheeseburger is a favorite of my wife. If you like pickles on your cheeseburgers, you will probably like this one. Here’s the thing about this one. There are a lot of ways to dress a cheeseburger. I am not one to usually put a lot of pickles on mine and the pickle flavor really comes through in this Spring Roll, though it doesn’t overpower it. My wife, on the other hand, likes a lot of pickles on her burgers. She thought it was really good.

It has been a while since I tried the Buffalo chicken, but I remember it being good as well. Unfortunately, I have not been able to catch the Reuben flavor when I have been at Magic Kingdom. Hopefully, it isn’t gone for good.

I grew up in Southeastern Kentucky where everyone loves basketball. I am married to Marty and we have three daughters, two sons-in-law, one grandson, and a Japanese Bobtail cat named Luna. I didn’t get to go to my first theme park until my second daughter was four months old. We came to Magic Kingdom that year and I was hooked. We moved to Central Florida in 2017 and became annual pass holders at Disney World. Now we are in the parks almost every week. In my time here I have learned a lot about Disney, but I feel as though I have only scratched the surface. That is why I am excited about sharing the experiences and things I learn along the way. I would love to hear from you. Let me know what you want to learn about a trip to Disney. I may write a blog about it.
