#7 Tusker House
Number seven on my list is the Tusker House at Animal Kingdom. This is a breakfast experience, which is mostly when my good experiences are. This breakfast consists of some unusual offerings like the Beef Bobotie and the Jungle Juice. You also get normal breakfast offering at the Tusker House. Here you will get to meet Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy all decked out in their Safari outfits. You can find the menu here.
#6 Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Sixth on my list would be Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot in the World Showcase. This is an experience I did for the princesses my daughter got to see. I hear the food is fantastic. The issue for me is I am a picky eater. The meal is made up of some great Norwegian entrees. You will start with the Taste of Norway which includes a wonderful assortment of cheeses, seafood, meats, and salad. If you are looking for Princesses you will want to check out this dining experience. You get to meet Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Princess Aurora, and Ariel. You can find the menu here.
#5 Hollywood and Vine
My fifth selection would be a tie between two so I am going with the Disney Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine for breakfast. Please note that this is only at breakfast. They have other dining experiences for lunch and dinner. Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine is a buffet of some of my favorite breakfast foods. They have an omelette station like 1900 Park Fare. Th breakfast is almost identical to 1900 Park Fare with the exception of who you get to meet. At breakfast you will get to meet Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Jake the Pirate, and Handy Manny. Some of these characters are subject to change. These are just the ones we have met the last few times we ate there. You can find the menu here
Fourth on my list of favorite character dining experiences is O’Hana. One thing that I did not like but others in my party love is that the food is served family style. I have a weird phobia with eggs touching other food. If you don’t share my phobia this is a great experience. One of the best foods you will enjoy is the Freshly made Pineapple-Coconut Breakfast Bread. You also get to meet Lilo, Stitch and friends. You can find the menu for O’Hana here.
#3 1900 Park Fare x2
Third on my list has two offerings which are completely different. 1900 Park Fare at The Grand Floridian offers two unique dining experiences for you to meet some of our favorite childhood movie characters. The first experience is the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast. The meal starts off with a breakfast buffet that has all of your favorite breakfast items including make your own omelettes, The characters you get to meet are Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, the Mad Hatter, Alice, and Mary Poppins. The menu can be found here.
Continuing on with 1900 Park Fare would be Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner. This dinner, like breakfast, is a buffet. The meal consists of a variety of meats, seafood, and even a carving station with herb-crusted prime rib. Unlike breakfast you get a different group of characters. You get to meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, Evil step-mother and Cinderella’s evil step sisters. Disney does note that the characters can change or not be at that meal so check when you sit down on who is coming to the table. The menu for this meal can be found here.
#2 Trattoria al Forno
Number two on my list is Trattoria al Forno. This is, as you can tell from the name, an Italian meal. This dining experience is found on Disney’s Boardwalk and is served at breakfast only. At the meal you will get to meet Ariel and Eric as well as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. You will begin the meal with shared pastries so you will want to bring a plastic bag to take the leftovers home with you. The main course has some wonderful offerings from an variety of omelettes to a breakfast calzone. The menu can be found here
#1 Storybook Dining at Artist Point
The first on the list is Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. This restaurant has Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy and the Evil Queen. Now is a good time to note that the only character with a photo pass photographer is the Evil Queen. All of the other characters come to your table; so have your autograph books and cameras ready. The meal in my opinion is one of the best for a character dining. You get three courses, a shared appetizer, your own entree and shared desserts. You can find the menu here. You will find some great presentations with the food at this dining experience.
Honorable mention is an experience that they have not had in some time but my guess is that they may bring it back in a few months. At the Sci-fi diner at Hollywood Studios they hosted a Star Wars Galactic Breakfast. The breakfast was nothing to write home about but this was the first experience where you could meet Boba Fett, Darth Vader, and could even trade with some Jawa’s. By far my favorite was trading with a Jawa. This experience has not been there for some time but I would look for some type of experience to come to Star Wars land opening in Fall of 2019. You can read more here of what is coming to Hollywood Studios.
