This month kicks off the 30th anniversary of the opening of Hollywood Studios. For this event Disney is selling some special 30th anniversary gear like tee-shirts, hats, cups and of course magic bands and pins. The magic bands are limited in quantity to 2000 for the standard magic band and 1000 for the annual pass holder one. If you are like me and like to have special magic bands then you will not want to delay in getting them.
Disney also announced it is creating a new dining experience in Toy Story Land called Roundup Rodeo BBQ. This restaurant will have an immersion of games, toys and playlets to add to your dining experience.
With Toy Story 4 coming to theaters later this year, Disney is also setting up a pop-up store to sell merchandise for the movie. My guess is this will be like it was when they had Star Wars weekends and they had special shops. This shop will be located at the exit of Toy Story Mania.
Disney has also introduced a new park logo for Hollywood Studios which showcase Star Wars, Toy Story, and Mickey Mouse. Speaking of Mickey Mouse, does anyone else miss the Sorcerer’s Hat in Hollywood Studios?
Lastly, a new nighttime projection show has been added to the park. This show will be on the Chinese theater starting about 30 minutes before the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. The name of the new show is “Wonderful World of Animation – Now Open!”
